Born in 1954 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Robin West is a renewed artist focused on abstract painting.  Her hard edged geometric style and her use of vibrant color give voice to varied subject matter that she explores.  

Graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1976, she earned an Art and Education degree while studying under renown sculptor Paul Granlund, and printmaker/painter, Bruce McClain. After a brief teaching career she wrote a series of children’s arts and crafts books published by Carol Rhoda/Lerner Publications and designed custom jewelry.  She also earned  certifications in dance exercise and personal training and worked in the exercise industry for 20 years.
 She now devotes full time to her painting endeavors,  working in her home studio in Alpharetta, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.  Her pieces can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States.
